Baptist Health Foundation
Founded in 1985, the Baptist Health Foundation supports current and future community health care needs through philanthropy and fund-raising, helping assure Wolfson has the latest in medical technology and equipment. Governed by a board of trustees, it is supported by hundreds of dedicated volunteers and donors.

Behavioral Health
A child growing up in today's world face pressures and stresses that his or her counterparts in previous generations did not have to face. Our mental health services can address the needs of children whose ages range from very young to teen-age. We also have a partial hospitalization program that provides therapeutic, educational and recreational activities to help children develop coping skills and maximize their individual strengths and potential.

Dreams Come True
Dreams Come True fulfills wishes of children living in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia who are battling life-threatening illnesses. Unique because 100 percent of the contributions from the public go to granting children's wishes, the Jacksonville-based organization offers a momentary reprieve from the rigors of medical treatment often associated with life-threatening illnesses.

Home-Hospital Teacher Program
Contending with the problem of school attendance for children hospitalized for a long period of time, the Home-Hospital Teacher Program (coordinated by the Duval County Public School System) offers an on-site teacher to instruct in a variety of subjects for children in grades K-12.

Pediatric Pain Service
Young children are often unable to verbalize their discomfort. Among the various types of pain management used by our Pediatric Pain Service is PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia), a self-administered medication method that allow children to relieve their own pain by pushing a button. In addition to the physical benefit, the child's ability for self-care is reinforced, increasing self-esteem.

PedsCare
PedsCare provides comfort and support to children living with a life-limiting illness or injury, with the emphasis on quality of life. End of Life Care addresses the child's comfort and the spiritual and psychosocial needs of loved ones, respecting the privacy, decisions and values of both. Bereavement Support offers follow-up emotional support and resources to assist families in the healing process.
