Our Patients
Each year, Wolfson Children's Hospital physicians serve more than 10,000 inpatients and have approximately 75,000 outpatient visits. Our Newborn Intensive Care Unit cares for nearly 700 critically ill infants and our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit cares for 1,000 patients. More than 3,000 babies are delivered in the Baptist Women's Pavilion annually and those newborns are cared for by primary care physicians on the Wolfson Children's Hospital Medical Staff.
Our Children's Emergency Center sees more than 40,000 patients each year. Life Flight provides services for approximately 150 children each year, not including neonatal transports of 159 newborns transferred primarily from other hospitals in the region. Pediatric surgeries, including open heart and a number of other inpatient and out patient procedures, total more than 8,000. |
