Wolfson Children's Hospital Auxiliary
Part of Baptist Health
The mission of Baptist Health Auxiliaries is to:
- Personally and individually render service to the healthcare system and its patients
- To promote good will for the hospital in the community
- To contribute to the various needs of the hospital from the resources of the auxiliary
By spending only three to four hours of service a week, you can be an Active Member of one of Baptist Health's Auxiliaries!! Our members represent all ages and sectors of the community. If you are young at heart, energetic, and want to interact with patients, families, and staff, this is the place for you. Your participation will make a difference. Areas of service include:

Administrative Information Desk: Provide information and campus directions to visitors

Waiting Room Concierge/Liaison: Staff various waiting rooms and assist families or visitors and liaison between family and nursing staff in some areas

Wolfie Wagon: Visit patient floors with the traveling store to provide items to make all more comfortable.

Special Projects: Special events that may need additional assistance

Surgical Services: Assist families and staff and act as a liaison in the surgical waiting, holding and POPS (outpatient surgery) areas

Activity Cart: Distribute crafts and activities to long-term patients and brighten their day

Art: Provide bedside and planned art and craft activities for entertainment

Child Life Music: Share one-on-one with patients as you play your musical instrument

Library: Staff Library, read, tell a story, or share a learning experience with a patient or their siblings

School Tours: Lead a tour of elementary children, K-2nd grade, to familiarize them with the hospital setting

Handiworks: Share with patients handmade items from the community including blankets, infant hats, gowns, cloth dolls and animals

TLC: Assist the nursing staff with direct patient care support

Hospitality Cart: Visit each patient room and supply patients' needs for blankets, formulas, magazines, and other personal items
