Randstad Red Wagon Parade
Companies, clubs, organizations, neighborhoods and families are invited to participate in the annual Randstad Red Wagon Parade benefiting Wolfson Children's Hospital. This event will take place September, 29, 2007 at the main Jacksonville Library located at Hemming Plaza. Each team will pull a decorated red wagon bearing their group's name, decorated in a children's book theme. The parade is the kick off for Mayor Peyton's Book Club, a plan to get every child in Jacksonville to read.
Here is how the Randstad Red Wagon Parade typically works:

- Entry fee is $1,000.
- Decorate your Red Wagon to portray a children's book. Just imagine a wagon displayed as Mother Goose, Jack in the Beanstalk or even Harry Potter.
- Choose three representatives to man the wagon -- one in the wagon, one pulling or pushing the wagon, and one carrying the sign.
- Pull your wagon alongside the costumed characters, clowns and special visitors who will be joining us for this memorable event.
- Following the parade, all wagons will roll into the Main Library, where they will be on display, creating a whimsical environment for the children to enjoy during a scavenger hunt planned as part of the Book Club kick off. The object of the scavenger hunt is for children to become acquainted with the beloved children's books portrayed by each wagon, to peak their interest in reading and to become familiar with our new library.
- All proceeds will go to provide care for sick and injured children at Wolfson Children's Hospital ... and no child is turned away. You can help us cover critical costs for pediatric health care by being part of our Randstad Red Wagon Parade.
- Every team will receive a plaque recognizing their support of the Randstad Red Wagon Parade.
